Choose quickly

Capture Full Page

The extension analyzes the page, starts from the top, scrolls automatically, captures multiple segments, and composes one long image.

Steps

1. Wait for the main page content to load.
2. Click the extension icon.
3. Choose Capture Full Page.
4. Keep the target tab open and active while progress is shown.
5. Check the result in the editor that opens automatically.

Notes

• Do not switch tabs or substantially change the page during capture.
• Lazy loading, infinite scrolling, sticky elements, and animation can affect the result.
• Extremely long pages can exceed the browser's single-image dimensions; use Current View or a smaller area instead.
• If content keeps changing, pause animation or wait for data to settle.

Capture Current View

Captures only the webpage content visible in the current browser viewport and does not scroll.

Steps

1. Adjust the window size and page scroll position.
2. Choose Capture Current View.
3. Wait for the editor to open.

This is normally the fastest mode and the first fallback when full-page capture cannot finish.

Capture Webpage Element

Captures one DOM element from the page.

Steps

1. Choose Capture Webpage Element.
2. Move the pointer and inspect the blue outline, element tag/class, and size.
3. Click the target; capture starts immediately and opens the editor.
4. Press Esc to cancel before selecting.

Current limitations

• There is no post-click movement, resize, or Enter-to-confirm step.
• Complex nesting can select an inner or outer element; restart the mode if the wrong boundary is chosen.
• An element extending beyond the viewport is constrained by the visible capture; use Full Page or Selected Area for a larger context.

Capture Selected Area

Captures any rectangle within the current viewport.

Steps

1. Choose Capture Selected Area.
2. Hold the primary pointer button and drag; live width and height are shown.
3. Release to capture immediately and open the editor.
4. Areas smaller than roughly 20×20 pixels are discarded; Esc also cancels.

Current limitations

After release, the selection cannot be moved, resized, or aspect-locked. Arrow-key adjustment, double-click confirmation, and Enter confirmation are not part of the current flow. Redraw the area if it needs adjustment.

Protected pages

No capture mode can bypass browser security restrictions. Chrome settings, the Chrome Web Store, extension pages, and some built-in pages cannot be captured. For a local file:// page, first enable Allow access to file URLs in the extension details.

Saving after capture

All four modes open the same editor and follow your settings for history, automatic clipboard copy, and automatic download. See Settings for the defaults.
